Tender will be drawn in March; 22 thousand crore rupees will be incurred for land acquisition in May, Virar-Alibag Corridor
Navi Mumbai: Being constructed by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).Virar-Alibaug55 thousand crore rupees will be spent for the multimodal corridor project. The largest share in the project cost is land acquisition and for this the Corporation will incur an expenditure of 22 thousand crores.
Tenders for this project will be floated in March and after 90 percent land acquisition, the work order will be issued in May. Along with nine metros, JNPT and Navi Mumbai Airport will benefit from this project.
Virar-Alibaug Once the corridor comes into existence, traffic congestion caused by heavy vehicles in the areas of VasaiVirar, Mira-Bhainder, Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai and Panvel Municipalities will be permanently removed.
